During the spring of 2020, the Thy NEWS team reported analyzing the work and functionality of the application. The team also formed a new development plan for the application.
The first thing to be changed was transfer to a cross-platform. Having successfully completed the transfer of data that was conducted for several months, the testing process was started. While working on it the team made sure Thy News will now really benefit from significant economy in time and resources. Upon combining two separate development and optimization processes for iOS and Android into one, the work on the development and optimization of functionality will get necessary acceleration in a timely manner.
The publication of the updated application in the stores took place on May 6, 2020. It is already available for download in the AppStore and PlayMarket. The main change of this version is that the application is already working on cross-platform. Also, Thy News now has onboarding screens for introducing to users the main functionality of the application.
During this period to the present day there are new users and the team has successfully tested the application.
The Thy News team reports that the next step in developing Thy News will be the redesigning of the application. The main goals of the Thy News redesign are:
⁃ to create a more convenient and logical user interface
⁃ to improve the appearance of the application
⁃ to develop several options for designing news feeds, according to different user preferences
⁃ to add new elements for new functionality
Thy News plans to begin work on this in the coming days and is confident that the updated interface will improve user interaction with the application.
